In this article, we introduce a database management system for clinical cases on WWW. And also we propose a data searching method with natural language processing. This method has made it possible for all users of the system to search the database for some clinical cases with any keywords (technical terms), sentences, and documents in Japanese. We implemented the system on a Linux (UNIX) based WWW sever as a CGI application. This system has following features : (1) natural language processing (Japanese) for searching, (2) full-text-database, (3) fuzzy inference engine, (4) automatic indexing for appending a new clinical case into the database.
