An international accelerator complex FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe) will be constructed at the site of GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung GmbH, Darmstadt, Germany. An overview of GSI and the status of FAIR project will be presented.
