The 1st International Beam Instrumentation Conference (IBIC 12) will be held in Tsukuba, Japan in 2012. Currently there are two major workshops on beam instrumentation, the Beam Instrumentation Workshop (BIW) in North America, and the European Workshop on Beam Diagnostics and Instrumentation (DIPAC) in Europe. From 2012, new international beam instrumentation conference series IBIC will start. The IBIC rotates among the geographic regions of Asia, Europe, and the Americas on a three-year cycle.
