Abstract
To prepare the novel display system changing the color by stimulation, we prepared structural colored substrates using LB film consists of polypeptide multilayer. Poly(g-hexyl L-glutamate) (PHeLG) was used as polypeptide and silicon and metal (Au, Ag) deposited glass plate were used as substrate. Various LB films to 160 layers were prepared and they showed individual colors varied by the thickness of polypeptide layer based on interference of light. Moreover, the silicon substrate of which surface was oxidized by heating was used, and its LB film was show the different colors by deposition of only 10∼20 layers of polypeptide layers.
