Abstract
In recent years, shortage of the final disposal place for waste has been aggravated. One of possible solutions is melting and stabilizing the incineration residual into slag. In case of the melting process performed under reduction atmosphere, it is known that the slag containing chloride will be produced. However, study on the slag containing chloride has been little reported. In this study, the slag-like 46CaO-8Al2O3-46SiO2 glass system containing chloride is prepared, and chemical durability of the glasses were investigated by powder method. It was found that the chemical durability of the glass is better when chloride is introduced.
