Abstract

Dense/porous multi-layered silicon nitride was sintered with porous layers from tape-cast seed crystals. The residual property was evaluated after thermal cycle test at 1400°C in air by fracture testing, XRD and SEM. The material with sintering agent for high-temperature strength showed little degradation in the strength after the thermal cycle test.
