Abstract
The sintering characteristics of SiC-coated diamond with different particle size dispersed cobalt cemented tungsten carbide composites were investigated using SPS method. Density, composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of composites were evaluated. The remarkable improvement of toughness is considered due to high hardness, high elastic modulus, and low thermal expansion coefficient of diamond particles compared with the WC-10wt%Co matrix.
