Abstract
β-Spodumene based matrix composites with ZrB2dispersions were fabricated. The electrical resistivity value was decreased with increasing the amount of ZrB2, and was saturated about 30 vol% ZrB2 by the formation of percolation structure. Effect medium theory and percolation theory were used in order to analyze electroconductive expression of the composite material. This experiment result has deviated from the percolation theory. As the factor, composition and of the amorphous phase formed by the reaction between ZrB2-β spodumenes are dependent on the ZrB2dosage, and it is estimated that the conductivity is due to change as the result.
