The method of evaluating the water quality purification performance of the photocatalyst was examined. Organic compounds that contained the halogen in the structure were chosen as targeted standard substance. When the resolution processing of this standard substance was done with the photocatalysts that were the evaluation object, a change with the lapse of time of the generated halide ion was examined. When the kinds of photocatalyst were different, the thing with a greatly different change with the lapse of time of the generated halogen has been found. The generation rate of the following halogen was thought to be able to do the evaluation value of the photocatalyst performance after the constant time.
