The microstructure and phase component of anti-oxidation MoSi2-SiC coating were observed and analyzed. The oxidation behavior of the coated-carbon/carbon composites was studied at various temperatures up to 1650oC, and the activation energy of oxidation in each temperature interval was determined simultaneously. The relationship between oxidation behavior, microstructure and component, and also, the oxidation mechanism and integrity of coating were explained in terms of mass transportation theory. A reasonable microstructure and component of the coating were offered in this paper. The experimental results showed that MoSi2-SiC coating for carbon/carbon composites has high oxidation resistance at temperature up to 1650oC.
