Domain Structure Dependence of Piezoelectricity of BaTiO3 Sngle Crystals with Enginnered Domain Configuration

Abstract

The high performance of piezoelectricity was discovered in the ferroelectric single crystals by an electric field applied along non-polar direction. This domain configuration introduced by this method is called "Engineered Domain Structure". BaTiO3 single crystals were introduced Engineered Domain Structure by applying the electric field along [111] direction. BaTiO3 samples with different domain configurations were prepared, and their piezoelectricity was measured by an impedance analyzer.
