Growth of Silver Niobate Based Single Crystals and Their Characterization

Abstract

Silver sodium niobate, (Ag1-xNax)NbO3, (ANN), were selected for this study. ANN single crystals were grown by flux method using AgCl flux and the crystals with the order of mille meter were obtained. Dielectric properties and domain structure investigations as function of temperature are measured for the single crystals. Additional phase transitions has been found at about 460°C and about 520°C. We found that the domain wall disappeared at about 460°C and moved at about about 520°C.
