Development of Microstructure- and crystalline-controlled TiO₂ films on organic substrates for the fabrication of flexible solar cells

Abstract

Both high efficiency and low cost is important to realize a practical process for the solar cell generation. TiO₂ electrode film with controlled morphology and crystalline on flexible substrates of large areas may be one of resolutions for this problem. Here we present an aqueous-solution-based process for the evolution of morphology and crystalline of TiO₂ films on a polymer substrate. The films demonstrated anatase, rutile or amorphous state under different treatment conditions in terms of pH, temperature and/or additives. Solar cells using the prepared TiO₂ will also be characterized and the result will be presented.
