In this article, the author tries to examine the significance of the term 'transzendental' in Kant's "Critique of pure Reason". According to the author, this term can be understood as indicating a completely original method of philosophical thinking. This method is, the author claims, the one by which the foundation of sciences a priori other than philosolphy (for example, logic, mathmatics and pure natural science) is investigated on the assumption of their real existance. The author concludes that Kant intended to explain, through this 'transcendental' way, the mind's mechanism of acquisition of pure information a priori and to re-establish the system of metaphysics based on that epistemological knowledge.
