Reciprocity-law failure of pure silver iodide emulsion was studied at exposure times in the 103 to 10-6 sec range. Pure iodide emulsion showed very strong low-intensity failure as pointed out by James in the 0.1 to 0.01 sec range, and no high-intensity failure until 10-6 sec.
The dependence of reciprocity-law failure of pure iodide emulsion on temperature of exposure was very large. When exposed at -72°C, the emulsion showed no low-intensity failure until 100 sec and greater sensitivity than at room temperature.
