Abstract

We analyzed comments to news programs on Internet television to explore relationships between news contents and modern/oldfashioned racism on expressing prejudice against Zainichi Koreans in Japan. We found that users tended to express both prejudices; nevertheless, it depended on news programs whether users expressed modern or oldfashioned racism.
