Abstract

The government and public organizations provide information on population trends, official land prices, and housing starts as open data. However, different data specifications, formats, temporal granularity, and spatial granularity, depending on the data provider and the intended use of the original data, present significant barriers to data integration. In this paper, we focus on geospatial information, which is widely used in the open data of public organizations, because there is a high demand for geospatial information among business companies. We have developed a prototype by processing and analyzing open geospatial information with a view to using it for marketing purposes for operating companies. Through this prototype, we identify the issues of open geospatial information disclosure and the minimum requirements to be met for data that is easy to use.
