Dendrocoelopsis lactea is the correct specific name of a Japanese freshwater planarian species referred to in the literature as Dendrocoelopsis lacteus ICHIKAWA et OKUGAWA, 1958. The nomina nuda in this animal group of Japan are also interpreted.
