Although space travel is no longer a dream, galactic cosmic rays (GCR) including Heavy Ion Beam (HIB) is considerable risk factors for cancer development. Number of G1 and G2 C57BL/6J backcross mice from recovered C57BL/6J G0 male mice with 12C, 14N, 20Ne, 40Ar or 56Fe-Ion Beams (HIBs) exposure was reduced especially in the high-energy condition. G1 mice from exposed dominant tumor resistant mice with 5 Gy of 20Ne exposure slightly augmented skin papilloma development risk after the two stage chemical skin carcinogenesis procedure. Single dose high energy HIB exposure is a risk factor of cancer development and male fertility, considered protectable.
