Sialolithiasis is the formation of a calcified stracture within the gland on ductal system of a salivary gland. It occurres commonly in adult, rare in children. We have recently encountered a case of sialolith in a child. The patient a nine year old boy who complained swelling of the right submandibular region. After radiographic examination, it was diagnosed sialolith of the sublingual caruncula. The patient was operated under local anesthesia and extirpated the calculus. In a childhood, it is very rare to find the sialolith because of the rapid saliva outflow and chemical property.
