Modern high-resolution NMR spectroscopic techniques were applied to study the local environments and site connectivities present in various glassy aluminophosphates. Through the combined application of complementary magic-angle spinning (MAS), 27Al triple-quantum MAS (TQMAS), as well as cross-polarization MAS (CPMAS) and rotational echo double resonance (REDOR) methods, a comprehensive picture concerning the short- and intermediate-range order has been developed for the titled glasses.
