Cointercalation compounds of layered aluminium dihydrogentriphosphate-I with n-alkylamines and aniline were prepared in benzene solution at room temperature. During pyrolysis of the cointercalation compounds aniline was found to be removed from the interlayer space in the lower temperature range than n-alkylamines, leaving voids behind. This fact may suggest the possibility of a new synthetic route for inorganic-organic microporous materials
