ENDO of our Institute. Among the recently obtained materials there were found one new species and one new subspecies of Pictothyris, and in this note we wish to describe them.
The fossils were collected by Dr. S. ENDO from two localities, viz., Kuwanomaru and Unoki, both in Yosida-mura, Kagosifma. gun, Kagosima-ken, Kyusyu, not. far distant from the city of Kagosima. Belonging to the same stratigraphic horizon, the brachiopods were found in association with a large number of shells of molluscs and balanids, besides there are also some of solitary corals and bryozoa. The molluscan fossils will be treated with in another article. According to S. ENDO the fossils were derived from the following stratigraphic position, namely.
