Abstract
The mechanical characteristics of macro area such as joint, born and tendon are interest in a field of biomechanical engineering. Moreover, there are requirements for microscopic observation of mechanical characteristics intended for segment of a tissue. Therefore, samples in various condition of stress are required to observe by microscopic birefringence measurement system. In this paper, we propose a birefringence measurement for biomechanical engineering and analyze the relation between given stress and birefringence distribution.
