Abstract
Compare with the other welding technology, the laser welding has been said the welding deformation is small. The simulation results of the actual amount of the deformation in the laser butt welding of thin metal were reported in our several former papers. However, even this little amount of the deformation is not preferable in the precise and accurate laser welding. For the establishment of a precise welding, it is necessary to be counterbalanced or decrease of the welding deformation. From these reasons, the way of reduction was tried in the several basic welding method or geometry. For a decrease in thermal deformation, the calculations were tryed to a decrease in thermal deformation by a lot of parameters like the output, the energetic density, and the processing time, etc. It was clarified that the decreasing way of thermal deformation is much complex phenomena even in basic shapes.
