Abstract
In the previous report, the authors defined processing which forms molten and solidified regions on metal plates by laser to deform them as ″Melt Laser Forming.″Then, the authors reviewed molten and solidified shapes and their deformation characteristics using stainless steel sheets. It was found that this deformation showed a behavior accompanied with coupling, as does a laminated sheet with a dynamically anisotropic nature. In this report, the authors grasped vectors of thermal strains which occur in such molten and solidified regions in order to analyze deformation behaviors of melt laser forming. This provided the potential for analyzing deformed state of molten and solidified shapes.
