Abstract
Sensitivity of immunoassay that is one of the biochemical analyses can be increased by increasing surface area for detection. In this study, microstructured surface was fabricated by etching Si substrate with the mask of self-assembled silica particles of which diameter was 1μm. Immunoassay test was carried out on the fabricated microstructured surface and fluorescent intensity was measured. It was found that there is a strong relationship between the surface areas geometrically calculated from SEM observation and observed fluorescent intensity. The intensity was increased up to 250%.
