Abstract
In vibratory finishing, convex areas of workpieces tend to wear faster than concave areas. So we need to optimize polishing process time. In my research, I proposed a model of work surface and the way to predict surface roughness of polished work by polishing using discrete elemental method. I checked the simulation is valid compared with experiment result using a simple model. Finally, I measure preston coefficient which is important to predict surface roughness. This value is close to Literature data.
