In this research, presents the effect of the cooling rate of metal that affects the surface roughness. By measuring the surface temperature of the workpiece as the laser from SLS moves through for melting the maraging steel powder and evaluates the roughness by a 3D scanner. The laser conditions are designed with Taguchi's orthogonal array method.
