It is said that the quality of a software heavily depends on human factors. ln order to improve the software quality, it is important to clarify the relationship between human factors and software performance. However, human factors affect software performance in such a complicated way that the clarification is not easily accomplished. As a trial, an experiment was conducted in the development process of a software by observing the input/output relationship at the software design review stage. In this paper, the results of this experiment and the effectiveness of quality engineering approach for software development are reported.
