In order to study the jacket wearing comfort, a wearing experiment was conducted and the multi-dimensional information from experiment was analyzed using Mahalanobis Distance. 143 university students of 19 and 20 years old were selected for the experiment and heir dimensions such as height, bust, hip, waist, etc., were measured using a measuring equipment specified by JIS (Japanese industrial Standards). It was clarified from this study that wearing comfort can be effectively evaluated by the use of Mahalanobis Distance. The study also gave a direction to the selection of meaningful measuring items.
