Turbochargers and inter-coolers are the devices used to raise the engine output of vehicles. An inter-cooler raises air density and improves air charge efficiency to engine cylinders by cooling the air which was compressed and heated by the turbocharger. Recently, the demand to improve vehicle quietness is becoming stronger and stronger, the noise problem caused by the air flow through the inter-cooler is heavily focused. Before this study, the countermeasures to lower noise level were tried, but they were not only inefficient, but also increased the cost. ln our study, the ideal function was discussed to improve the unifomity of the air flow in the inter-cooler. As a result, the optimum parameter setting not only solve the noise problem but also improved the cooling function and reduced the cost.
