Today, most of industrial waste goes to land fills. It is becoming more and more difficult to provide such lands for this purpose. One type of industrial waste is the waste from glass manufacturing factories. Since the composition of such waste is similar to the one in the manufacturing of ceramic-type tiles, research was conducted to develop the manufacturing of the tiles to use such waste as raw materials. In the discussion of the ideal situation in this study, it was concluded that the density within a molded piece must be uniform. Based on this conclusion, the weight of a molded piece measured in the air was defined as the input, and the one measured underneath the water as the output. The generic function is therefore the input and the output must be linear. After optimization, the gain of SN ratio and sensitivity were well confirmed. As a result, we succeeded in being able to produce tiles using less virgin raw materials and more wasted materials.
