Calculation of the Effective Dose Transmissions for ¹²⁵I and ²⁴¹Am

Abstract

The Radioisotope Pocket Data Book 11^th edition gives values of the effective dose rate constants for two photon energy ranges of over 10keV and over 30keV.
To see the differences of the effective dose transmissions between above mentioned two energy ranges, over 10keV and over 30keV, we calcurated those for ¹²⁵I and ²⁴¹Am with five shielding materials, water, concrete, aluminum, iron, lead. Our new calcurated values were compared with conventionally used values.
