Abstract
New scintiscanning system was devised by us which was able to scan with color depending on each spectrum of γ-rays from multiple nuclides. The picture derived from this new system should be called as “multi-nuclide scintigram”. On the basis of the principle of multi-nuclide scintiscanning, two nuclides (198Au-colloid and 203Hg-neohydrin) scintiscanning was performed by repeated scanning method and a few examples of the multi-nuclide scintigram obtained were illustrated in present paper.
The multi-nuclide scintigram plays the most significant role in the diagnosis of the upper abdomen including many important organs which can not be diagnosed easily by X-ray examinations, and a field of its application was pointed out.
A specially designed multi-nuclide scintiscanner was constructed recently at our laboratory which could produce two-nuclides scintigram at one scanning and its essential parts were outlined in block diagram.
