Abstract
Since the pancreas has not been visualized radiographically, scintillation scanning shoud be studied as a clinical diagnostic method. Se-75 labelled selenomethionine was injected intravenously to one normal subject and five patients suspected having pancreas cancer. The area scans, the linear scans, the external counting over the pancreas and the whole body counting were performed. Visualization of the pancreas in five cases was obtained successfully. In two cases the defect of the tail image was recognized. These results obtained showed that Se-75 labelled selenomethionine might be useful for clinical diagnosis of various pancreas diseases, particularly pancreas cancer.
