Abstract
The direct quantitative analysis of Sr-89 and Sr-90 was successfully carried out by low background β-ray spectrometry.According to this method, Y-90 milking operation which requires storage of SrCO3 over 2 weeks after chemical separation from samples, could be omitted. Therefore, many samples could be analysed in easier and in shorter periods. An attempt to apply IS-ray spectrometry to the survey of the fallout-level radioactivity was made.
