Abstract

This study aims to examine the value recognition of the living around the railway station as the basic information to promote TOD at the local city. The results obtained through the analysis of the questionnaire survey data to the residents are as follows: 1) A lot of residents are recognizing the high value of living around the railway station in terms of place attachment etc. 2) The value recognition of the living is influenced by not only individual attributes such as the use of the railway but also affirmative image of the existence value of the station. 3) Finally, the whole structure of the value recognition is derived by applying the Covariance Structure Analysis.
