Study on community empowerment for disaster waste disposal and creation of disaster-resistant town

Abstract

In this study, we analyzed what kind of community was involved in the disposal of disaster waste caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake. For this purpose, we first conducted a questionnaire survey on community situation and disaster waste disposal. Then, by using the result of questionnaire, we analyzed what kinds of community situations are progressing disaster waste disposal smoothly, and what kind of measures are available to raise the community's power.
