Abstract

This study aims to understand the condition of solitary death generation for elderly single household in the local city, and examine the generation risk of the solitary death and its tendency from the viewpoint of the city planning such as the residence condition and the residential locations. We seek after the relation between the solitary death and the residence, using the investigation of the solitary death, national census and the human mortality data.<br>As a result, we confirm that the local city has the similar tendency to solitary death with the large city, and that the solitary death risk of the early stage elderly living in the condominium is high. Moreover, we clarify that the consideration of the solitary death problem is necessary for promotion of living in the central area in the future.
