Basic Research for the Reevaluation of the Socio-Economic Unit-World Focusing on Peddling

Abstract

In this study, we focused on "peddling," a small economic activity that is part of mobile vending. The purpose of this study is to conduct a basic research to interpret the socio-economic world unit constructed by peddling through literature review. As a result, the following has become clear. The study of peddling has declined, but the study of distribution and mobile sales has taken over. Next, peddling was a "complementary" type of mobile sales that supported livelihoods. This was divided into two types: the "relief type" that responds to solving social problems and the "value-creating type" that actively creates new forms of activity.
