A report on the Administration of Archeological Sites Protection in Each Prefecture

From a Relationship Between the number of Specialized Staffs and the number of Excavational Investigations

Abstract

In this study, as part of an effort to understand the administration of archeological sites protection in each prefecture, we conducted a correlation analysis between the number of excavational investigations and the number of specialized staff for archeological sites protection. As a result, we found a positive correlation between the two. In addition, based on the results of this analysis, we pointed out the urgent need for proper arrangement of specialized staff for archeological sites protection and the training of new personnel.
