Abstract

With the rapid urbanization of cities in the China, urban planning is gradually changing from gradual construction to inventory construction, and the resources of historical neighborhoods with unique traditional culture and historical characteristics should be properly protected and effectively utilized. This study takes Houshupu Street in Xuwan Town, Jiangxi Province as the research object, explores the current situation of haptics in Houshupu Street through field surveys and questionnaires, and analyzes the suitability of urban haptics theory to influence the historic district after clarifying the principle and mode of action of urban haptics theory in Houshupu Street.
