Abstract

This study aims to clarify the characteristic of bench users in the waterfront park. For this study, we investigated the actual conditions and evaluation of bench users in this park. And we showed the feature of stay time and behavior depending on the location of benchs (through observational investigation). As a result, we understood that people choose this park because they can see the sea. People eat and drink in the place where they can command a prospect of the sea. In addition, they do simple activities, such as smoking or using a cellular phone, behavior in the place where accessibility is high.
