Abstract

This study clarifies the management issues of water facilities in urban parks. We investigated the management exercised at water facilities and cooperation with the inhabitants groups. We divided water facilities according to the capability of playing in the water and existence of aquatics. The problem of facilities to play in the water is the damage caused by disinfection by chlorine. Meanwhile, the problem related to existence of aquatics is the damage from large amount of aquatics increasing. There is a problem that few inhabitant groups cooperate to manage water facilities. We propose the types of management and cooperation with the inhabitants groups to solve those problems.
