Abstract
We sent physical therapists in Hyogo Prefecture questionnaires about functional training task in the law of the health and medical services for the aged. The sample consisted of 43 physical therapists who had taken part in the fuctional training task six times and over a year. The questionnaire covered 34 items, for example, state of conduct, participants, kinds of functional training, a measure of accidents, and other problems. We received responses from 42 (97.7%) of 43 physical therapists.
Participants were mainly in their sixties or seventies and had stroke. Approximately one third of participants came on foot, and those by pick-up bus and car was only 15.8%. Physical therapists were mainly in charge of exercise for participants' disabilities. Plenty of physical therapists seemed to be embarrassed by a development and conception of the functional training task. That suggested we should take future measures.
