For diggings in the ground surface due to burrows and tunnels dug by animals, and their feeding in river levees, the scale will grow if discovery is delayed, together with the damage to the levee body that cannot be overlooked, and there is a possibility that the labor and cost involved for repairs might increase. Therefore, attempting to minimize the maintenance response is required by finding them early and dealing with them appropriately. On the other hand, for the holes dug into levees by animals, despite the different characteristics of each species, it has not been possible to carry out effective levee inspections that take this into consideration. Therefore, by proposing a method that enables on-site engineers doing river management to easily inspect holes dug up by animals through considering the characteristics of each species, the plan is to realize efficient inspection, and to promote analysis and evaluation of the specific impacts on levees.
