自然河岸形成工法の河岸発達過程に関する追跡調査

The new restoration method to create natural riparian zone in front of concrete revetments is suggested by P.W.R.I in 1997. In this method, after the construction of mounds in front of concrete revetments, following two processes are expected. 1) Formation of vegetation communities on the mound. 2) Deposit of fine sediment in the vegetation communities and elevation of ground level in the restoration zone. In this study, to make this restoration method fit for practical use, field observations were performed after test construction in 1996. The results are as follow. 1) The ground level in the restoration zone becomes over 1m higher compared with the initial mound levels. 2) The sediment on the mound consists thick layers made of fine sand and medium sand and thin layers made of silt.3) After the change of vegetation communities, the ratio of the sediment volume on the mounds to the total influx volume was stepped up.
