The authors have developed an innovative CLIL teaching material for engineering students in accordance with the four-level model advocated by Tanaka (2017), and then implemented English classes using it for graduate students majoring in engineering (Ichimura et al., 2021). This paper tries to discuss the effectiveness of English classes using the developed CLIL teaching materials for students learning at Kosen (National Institute of Technology). The discussion is based on the responses to a questionnaire completed voluntarily by the students after five lessons.
