Abstract
The z-transform is re-formulated to an integral transformation that converts an impulse train to a power series of z-1. Next, the classic z-transform introduced to control engineering in the 1950s is resolved to the cascaded operations of sampling and the above transformation. It is then revised by modified sampled-data f(nT_) so as to analyze properly sampled-data systems with the sampling of jumping signals.
